Autumn In Full Swing

Fall is here.  Almost over as a matter of fact.  The leaves have changes, the wind blows like crazy, and everyone is starting to bust out their scarves and mittens.

So much has happened in my first two months that I don't know where to start. It has been amazing and incredibly difficult all at the same time.  But lets move to some things that have gone on

Fall Getaway

Our anual fall retreat was amazing this year! 120 college students came to hang out, make new friends, and learn about God. This weekend taught me a lot of things.  Like I can't stay up until 3am and still wake up at 8 anymore.

The weekend focused around the fact that we all have crap that we deal with, thhings that hold us down, or trip us up. The area director Al Norby spoke on Identity for the weekend. Friday night he had students all write down things they dealt with and on saturday night he read them aloud to the whole group to help us realize no one is perfect, and we all need to find our Identity in Christ, not in our problems.

The weekend was a lot of fun, with the no talent talent show, rock wall, zip line, and huge bonfire fall getaway fired on all cylinders and was an incredible time.

Community Groups

I get the privilege at Winona State of working with our chapters community group leaders.  If I haven't gotten to tell you about the students we have leading community groups this year, let me fill you in, they are AMAZING.  I have never met a group of students more dedicated creating places to allow students to know and support one another while sharing the Love of Christ with each other and the campus.

There is so much more that has been going on, but I can't possibly fit it all in this post.  It's been a great year so far, and I can't wait to see what God does with Intervarsity in the last month of the semester.
I am still in the process of raising funds to help me invest my full attention on IV, so if you are interested in supporting what is going on here at WSU donate to help us out.

Thank you all for your support, be it financially, prayerfully, or good conversations.  I could not do what I do without your help.
